Former President Trump had quite the Sunday. He posted an unprompted screed against Taylor Swift days after she endorsed his opponent Kamala Harris.

Obligatory joke from the obligatory person but we’ll let her have it

Scooter Braun, probably villain #1 in Swiftieworld (except those that still hold a grudge against Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Alwyn 🙃) even came to her defense, making him the Liz Cheney of this fight:

Later that afternoon, a second would-be assassin made an attempt on Trump’s life, but this one didn’t really carry the same oomph as the first.

Elon Musk weighed in with a now very much deleted joke.

JD Vance took to the Sunday shows to defend his attack against Haitian-Americans and it was as vile and pathetic as one would expect at this point:

After calling CNN’s Dana Bash “disgusting” for fact checking his claims, he straight up admitted to propagating unfounded stories for the sake of a narrative:

The Emmys took place last night, once again raising the age-old question: is The Bear a comedy?

Original SNL cast member and the mom of Hannah Einbinder from Hacks lol

Adding to the confusion is that The Bear airs its seasons right after the Emmys eligibility window closes, meaning season 2, which dropped in June 2023, was up last night, not season 3, which aired this past June.

The Bear looked poised for a sweep, with back-to-back wins for Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colón-Zayas. But with these two, it’s hard to be mad.

People were less forgiving when Jeremy Allen White beat out comedy legends Larry David (who has never won for Curb!), Steve Martin, Martin Short, as well as rising stars Matt Berry and D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai:

But, lo, the award for Best Comedy Series went to Hacks after all:

These two crazy kids!!
