In the few days since VP Kamala Harris announced Tim Walz as her running mate, the two have been busy making their way throughout the midwest, introducing themselves to the critical swing states that everybody will be watching in the fall.
They formally launched their campaign with a rally for a packed house in Philadelphia, in which Tim Walz had this now infamous line:
Now what I can’t understand is how Philadelphia-raised, Springsteen-loving Jake Tapper could possibly make this mistake:
Incredibly, mere hours after the Walz announcement – and the tweets proposing a Harris/Walz camo hat, the hat became a reality, and for sale:
On Wednesday, the two campaigns had a good old fashioned showdown on the tarmac in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where they (well, Harris/Walz and just JD) held competing rallies.
But at least his charisma and relatability come through on the stump.
Republicans really are so cooked after Trump so let’s just beat him and get this over with.
In Detroit, Kamala Harris faced her first major test with her coconut-pilled fanbase since taking over the ticket, when pro-Palestine protesters interrupted her rally to call for a ceasefire. (Detroit is notably adjacent to Dearborn, which has the highest per capita Muslim population in the entire US.)
The response to her handling of the situation ranged from the deeply disappointed to the laudatory.
But, overall, Harris was well received in Michigan, with a few clips making the rounds today, like this bit from her speech to the United Auto Workers:
And:

Today, though, Trump gave a press conference from Mar-A-Lago and we were reminded why his famously more competent staff might be hiding him from the public as much as they can:
The Harris campaign, for their part, got its first indication that it might be a bit too online.
In his response, @dril him(?)self proved that the internet giveth, the internet taketh away:
Nancy Pelosi continues what might be the best timed book tour in the history of all book tours, dropping a few new bangers in this New Yorker interview.
It has admittedly been fun watching the online left realize she is truly the greatest to ever do it.
I’m genuinely surprised this took this long:
But enjoy brat while you can, as we are definitely reaching the end of tis meme cycle.
