She picked Walz!
Given how omnipresent Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota, has been in the albeit brief Kamala Harris campaign, you’d be forgiven for forgetting he’s a relatively new name for the majority of Democrats outside of the Midwest. So who is Tim Walz?
On top of his progressive bonafides, Walz assuming the Vice Presidency would have the secondary benefit of advancing Native Americans visibility and representation.
He is the rare pick who garners enthusiasm from the most moderate, Blue Dog wing of the party all the way to the Democratic Socialists for America types.
In keeping with the last ~3 weeks, the Trump campaign and rest of the GOP are scrambling.

The only semi (emphasis on semi) meaningful hit the GOP has on Walz is that in his 20s, he was arrested with a DUI. But even that he turned into a positive story, so good luck to them.
